Executive Assistant Nancy Avra is retiring this month after more than 25 years of service to Conway Corp and the Conway community.
Nancy joined the company as an administrative assistant in 1999 and was promoted to executive assistant in 2016.
In her executive assistant role, Nancy worked closely with the leadership team – effectively managing administrative tasks, communicating clearly and professionally and handling scheduling and logistics.
“Nancy and I have worked together the past 25 years, and she has been the epitome of professionalism over her career,” Chief Executive Officer Bret Carroll said. “She shows up each day and finds ways to make everyone around her more efficient and better at their job which ultimately allows us to better serve our customers. I wish the very best for her in this next phase of her life.”
Chief Marketing Officer Crystal Kemp agreed.
“Nancy has been a real cornerstone for so much of what happens at Conway Corp,” Crystal said. “She is dedicated to a job well-done and has genuine care for her co-workers. We will really miss her but know that she will enjoy the extra time she will have to travel and read.”
Over her 25 years with the company, Avra described her role as an opportunity to assist others, something she said was very rewarding.
“The opportunity to work at Conway Corp has been life changing in so many ways. You become a part of Conway’s history, just being able to say ‘I worked at Conway Corp.’”
Nancy said the co-workers she worked with were one of the reasons she stayed at Conway Corp so long.
“Over the years I have had the privilege to work with some amazing people,” she said. “Even if we aren’t friends outside the office, we are a family that is there for one another when needed. I know I can count on my Conway Corp family.”
Nancy’s retirement plans include travel and spending time with her only granddaughter, who is a student at the University of Arkansas.
“I cherish every moment I get to spend with her. I’m looking forward to spending more time with my art, taking lessons again and meeting new friends. And travel is on the agenda. I have a trip to Switzerland planned in August.”
After reflecting on her time at Conway Corp, she leaves us with these final words of advice:
“Enjoy your time here and give it your best. It goes by quickly.”
Congrats, Nancy!
