call before you dig
Careless digging can damage underground utilities, causing disruption of vital services, property damage and even possible injury.
At least two business days prior to digging or excavation, contractors and property owners must call Arkansas One Call at 811 or 1-800-482-8998.
A locator will mark the utilities on your property. Conway Corp utilities will be marked red for electric, blue for water, green for sewer and orange for cable.
There are three important reasons why care should be taken to avoid damaging these lines:
-
Safety: A broken utility line can be dangerous depending on the type and location of the line.
-
Convenience: Usually when a utility line is broken, both you and your neighbors’ service will be disrupted while repairs are being made.
-
Cost: Broken utility lines are expensive to repair. These costs are passed along to the party damaging the system.
