As the sun rises and the day begins, something special happens at our local elementary schools. Amid the hustle and bustle of parents dropping off their children and buses arriving, there is a warm and welcoming presence that stands out – the friendly faces of Conway Corp employees.
These dedicated utility workers arrive early to greet children as they walk into school, offering a smile, a high-five or a few encouraging words. The initiative started as a pilot program at Carolyn Lewis Elementary and quickly gained popularity. Seeing the positive response from students, parents and administrators, Conway Corp expanded the program and have greeted at Jim Stone Elementary and Florence Mattison Elementary as well. The presence of these friendly greeters helps to strengthen the bond between the community and the utility company, showing that Conway Corp is not just a service provider, but an integral part of the community fabric.
