October is here and that means it’s time for Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Spearheaded by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance, this annual initiative highlights how each of us plays a vital role in protecting our connected digital world.
At Conway Corp, we know that cybersecurity isn’t just an IT issue — it’s a community issue. Whether we’re delivering power, water or other essential services, our infrastructure is only as strong as the people behind it. That’s why this month, we’re focusing on how we can all contribute to a safer, stronger digital and physical environment.
This year’s campaign theme encourages everyone to “Build a Cyber-Strong America,” focusing on the everyday actions that keep our systems and data safe. CISA’s resources empower organizations to promote security awareness, while partners like KnowBe4 emphasize turning awareness into action through engaging and practical training.
What you can do – Four simple actions
- Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – Add that second layer of protection whenever you log in, both at work and at home.
- Use strong, unique passwords – Avoid reusing passwords and consider using a password manager to help you stay secure.
- Think before you click – Phishing emails remain one of the biggest threats. Pause before clicking links or downloading attachments and verify the sender.
- Keep devices and software updated – Whether it’s your phone, laptop or work system, regularly updating devices keeps threats out.
How Conway Corp is Participating
Throughout the month, Conway Corp employees are taking part in a short cybersecurity awareness learning module designed to strengthen everyday digital safety habits. To keep the message top of mind, “Cyber Tip of the Day” reminders are being shared weekly across our internal communication channels, sparking conversations about how we can each play a role in protecting our systems and data.
Join us — Let’s Secure Our World
From field technicians in the community to billing specialists in the office, every Conway Corp employee contributes to keeping our customers and infrastructure safe. By understanding and practicing strong cyber habits, we continue to build a culture of awareness and resilience that strengthens both our organization and our city.
This October, let’s raise awareness, strengthen our habits and demonstrate that Conway Corp is not just delivering services today — we’re delivering them securely, reliably and responsibly for tomorrow.
