Conway Corp customers paying with cash may notice a small change at payment locations due to a nationwide shortage of pennies.
As penny supplies become increasingly limited, Conway Corp is asking customers who pay with cash to use exact change whenever possible. When exact change is not available, cash transactions will be rounded to the nearest nickel.
Importantly, customer rates and service charges are not changing. This adjustment only affects the cash payment process and is intended to help ensure transactions can continue smoothly despite limited penny availability.
How It Works
If a customer’s bill total includes pennies and exact change is not available, the cash payment amount will be rounded to the nearest five cents. Any amount rounded up during the transaction will be credited to the customer’s next statement.
For example:
| Current Statement | Rounded Payment | Credit Applied to Next Statement |
|---|---|---|
| $100.32 | $100.35 | $0.03 |
| $100.11 | $100.15 | $0.04 |
| $100.89 | $100.90 | $0.01 |
What Customers Need to Know
- Prices and rates remain unchanged.
- The policy only affects cash transactions.
- Any rounded amount collected will be applied as a credit to the customer’s next statement.
- Customers may avoid rounding by paying with exact change or using non-cash payment methods.
Conway Corp appreciates customers’ understanding and cooperation as penny availability continues to impact cash transactions nationwide.
