Conway Corp Chief Financial Officer Erin Brown recently received the Public Power Rising Star Award from the American Public Power Association (APPA) during the association’s National Conference in Boston.
The award recognizes emerging leaders who are making significant early-career contributions to advancing public power through innovation, leadership and service to their communities.
“Erin’s leadership, strategic thinking and commitment to public power have made a tremendous impact on Conway Corp and the customers we serve,” Conway Corp Chief Executive Officer Bret Carroll said. “This national recognition is well deserved and reflects the dedication and forward-thinking approach he brings to our organization every day.”
Erin joined Conway Corp as a power supply analyst in 2019 and quickly established himself as a leader within the organization. He advanced through several roles before being promoted to chief financial officer in July 2023. Throughout his career at Conway Corp, he played a key role in securing a 20-year solar power purchase agreement that supports the utility’s long-term energy strategy while helping provide cost stability for customers. He has also led initiatives to strengthen employee training and regulatory compliance programs.
In addition to his work at Conway Corp, Erin serves on the board of the Missouri Association of Municipal Utilities. His commitment to innovation, operational excellence and the future of public power has helped position Conway Corp as a nationally recognized utility and earned the respect of peers across the industry.
The American Public Power Association represents more than 2,000 community-owned, not-for-profit electric utilities that provide safe, reliable and affordable electricity to communities across the United States. Through advocacy, education and collaboration, the association supports public power utilities in delivering exceptional service and advancing the interests of the customers they serve.
