At Conway Corp, serving our community goes beyond providing reliable utility services—it’s also about lending a helping hand where it’s needed most. That’s why we were proud to participate in the American Public Power Association (APPA) Day of Giving again this year, joining public power utilities across the country in a collective effort to make a positive local impact.
This year, our team came together to assemble and donate more than 1,500 snack bags and personal care items to two incredible organizations in our area: the Conway Ministry Center and CAPCA (Community Action Program for Central Arkansas).
Each bag included snacks and personal hygiene items to help meet immediate needs for individuals and families experiencing hardship. Employees from across the company donated items, packed bags and delivered the final boxes with care and compassion.
In total, Conway Corp and our employees donated more than $10,000 in food and hygiene items.
“Giving back is part of our DNA at Conway Corp,” Conway Corp CEO Bret Carroll said. “Participating in APPA Day of Giving is a great reminder that when we work together, even small efforts can make a big difference in our community.”
The APPA Day of Giving is a national event held annually in June. Utilities across the U.S. take this opportunity to show their commitment to service not just through power, but through people-powered kindness.
We’re thankful to the Conway Ministry Center and CAPCA for the work they do every day to support our neighbors. And we’re grateful to our employees for stepping up with generosity and heart.
Because at Conway Corp, powering our community means so much more than keeping the lights on—it means showing up.
