Help us congratulate our Video Production and Local Programming team on earning its second consecutive Telly Award!
They received a Bronze Telly Award in the Sports Series category for their coverage of Wampus Cats athletics.
The award recognizes excellence in television series consisting of two to five episodes pertaining to sports. Presented during the 47th Annual Telly Awards, the competition honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, production companies and creative agencies. This year’s winners include Paramount TV, Warner Bros. Discovery, FOX Entertainment, MoMA, Mayo Clinic, Sony Music, TED, Al Jazeera, Variety, ABC News, Dude Perfect and many other nationally recognized organizations. Nearly 14,000 entries from 55 countries were submitted for this year’s competition.
“Winning a Telly Award for a second year in a row is a great honor and a testament to the talented team we have working for Conway Corp,” Conway Corp Video Production & Local Programming Manager Jeff Matthews said. “We are incredibly grateful to our viewers who welcome us into their homes and trust us to broadcast Conway High sports.”
The award-winning production team included Producer Justin King, Co-Producer and Talent Levi Gilbert, Talent Tim Roach, Line Producers Wayne Bailey, Ashtyn Brown, Javan Massey and Executive Producer Jeff Matthews.
“Video has never been more contested, more creative or more consequential than it is right now,” Telly Awards Managing Director Amanda Needham said. “The Telly Awards has had a front-row seat to this industry for 47 years, and today’s entertainment is happening in multiple formats, across every screen and at every budget level.”
The 47th Annual Telly Awards also introduced new categories recognizing excellence in generative artificial intelligence, animation and creator-driven content. Winners were selected by the Telly Awards Judging Council, a panel of more than 250 industry experts representing organizations including Google, HBO, Netflix and the WNBA.
