Conway Corp received the American Public Power Association (APPA) Sue Kelly Community Service Award during the American Public Power Association’s National Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. The award recognizes “good neighbor” activities that demonstrate the commitment of the utility and its employees to the community.
For nearly 100 years, Conway Corp has invested in projects and programs that support education, students and opportunities within the community. Conway Corp has provided more than $650,000 in scholarships benefiting local students who attend the University of Central Arkansas, Central Baptist College and Hendrix College. Conway Corp also awarded more than $48,000 in scholarships to high school athletes since 2001, invested $3 million in the University of Central Arkansas’ state-of-the-art science facility, enhancing STEM education and $1.5 million in Hendrix College’s Miller Creative Quad, combining arts, housing and cultural enrichment.
Conway Corp’s employees are also heavily involved in community service initiatives, raising money for local charities, participating in food and clothing drives and assembling more than 4,500 snack packs to address student food insecurity.

This national recognition affirms our commitment to our community and encourages all of us to continue making a difference in the lives of our customers.”
