Conway Corp earned a perfect score of 100 and was once again designated as a Diamond Level Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3)® by the American Public Power Association (APPA). This marks the third consecutive application in which the utility has received a perfect score and the program’s highest honor. More than 250 public power utilities nationwide currently hold the designation.
“The RP3 Diamond designation represents excellence in public power related to reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement,” Conway Corp Chief Executive Officer Bret Carroll said. “At Conway Corp, we make this a priority because it translates to reliable, affordable electricity for our customers and training, development and safe work practices for our employees. I couldn’t be prouder.”
“Receiving an RP3 designation is a great honor and a testament to the work these utilities are doing to follow industry best practices,” APPA RP3 Review Panel Chair and Kansas City Board of Public Utilities General Manager Jeremy Ash said. “These designees have distinguished themselves as committed to pursuing excellence and continual improvement for the benefit of their communities.”
The American Public Power Association has offered the RP3 designation for 18 years. The designation lasts for three years. The association represents not-for-profit, community-owned utilities that provide electricity to 49 million people in more than 2,000 communities nationwide while advocating and advising on electricity policy, technology, trends, training and operations.
