Conway Corp Dispatcher/System Operators Tyler Jackson, Joshua Martz and Diana Pollard recently completed the first of three modules of the Northwest Lineman College System Operator Certification course.
Each module demands around 150 hours of dedicated study and the completion of 6-8 tests per module. Their commitment and hard work have brought them one step closer to becoming certified System Operators.
“Their achievement marks a significant milestone in their professional journey,” Dispatch Coordinator Kyndel Smith said. “We are confident that their skills and expertise will make a positive impact in the realm of energy management and distribution at Conway Corp.”
Once the certification process is complete, the three will be better equipped to adeptly manage local grid conditions and facilitate intricate interactions among grid-connected energy resources. To ensure effective coordination and monitoring of our distribution system, they will employ advanced tools and technology such as Survalent SCADA and Milsoft OMS/IVR as well as TextPower for customer communications of outages.
