Help us congratulate Conway Corp Dispatcher/System Operators Diana Pollard and Tyler Jackson who recently completed the Northwest Lineman College System Operator Certification course!
The System Operator certification consists of 3 training modules with each module demanding around 150 hours of dedicated study and the completion of 6-8 tests per module. Their commitment and hard work have led them to achieve certification as System Operators.
“They finished the course work, which was anticipated to take up to 36 months, in 15 months while maintaining an A and A+ average, respectively,” Operations System Coordinator Chris Boudreaux said. “We congratulate them on leading the way on completing the System Operator Certification Program.”
With the completion of this certification, the pair will be better equipped to adeptly manage local grid conditions and facilitate intricate interactions among grid-connected energy resources. To ensure effective coordination and monitoring of our distribution system, they will employ advanced tools and technology such as Survalent SCADA and Milsoft OMS/IVR as well as TextPower for customer communications of outages.
“I am incredibly proud of Diana and Tyler,” Dispatch Coordinator Kyndel Smith said. “Their dedication to advancing their skills in electric system operations exemplifies the commitment to excellence that drives our entire team forward.”
Diana began her career at Conway Corp as dispatcher/customer care specialist in March 2006 and was promoted to dispatcher/system operator in October 2020.
Tyler began his career at Conway Corp as dispatcher/customer care specialist in September 2016 and was promoted to dispatcher/system operator in October 2020.
