Help us congratulate Conway Corp Customer Premises Equipment Technician Doug Huckabay is retiring this month after a 28-year career dedicated to serving Conway Corp customers and supporting the growth of the Cable Telecommunications Department.
Doug began his career with Conway Corp in November 1997 as CTV Technician 2. His technical skill and dependable work ethic quickly made him a trusted member of the team. Over the years, he advanced through several roles, being promoted to System Technician in 1999, Fiber Technician in 2003 and Senior System Technician in 2006. In 2013, he transitioned into his current role as a Customer Premises Equipment Technician, where he has served customers and supported Conway Corp’s telecommunications systems ever since.
Throughout his career, Doug was known for his commitment to excellence, his reliability and his technical expertise. His leadership and dedication have helped move the Cable Telecommunications Department forward through decades of change and innovation.
“I have had the privilege of working with Doug for more than 25 years,” Conway Corp Cable Telecommunication Systems Manager Tommy Nolen said. “Early in my career, Doug mentored and taught me many things about the coax plant and how everything worked. Since the 2001 ice storm and late-night maintenance work to his current position, I could always count on Doug to show up and do it right. Doug has been instrumental in the cable telecommunications department’s progress, especially with system upgrades. He is someone who leads by example, conviction and integrity. Doug has been more than just a co-worker, but a cherished friend. I will miss his presence and laughter around work but wish him and Sharon many years of fulfillment and happiness in retirement.”
Congratulations, Doug!
