Wastewater Plant employee Jeff Bane recently earned his Class IV Wastewater Treatment certification from the Arkansas Department of Health and was promoted to Senior Plant Operator at the Tupelo Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The requirements for Class IV Wastewater Treatment certification include 96 hours of classroom training and passing the examination. It is the top level of achievement for licensed plant operators in the state.
“Jeff has been a great asset to the wastewater plant,” Water Systems Manager Lee Tedford said. “Effluent water quality is always Jeff’s top priority and he has worked really hard to obtain the required knowledge and skills to meet the wastewater IV exam requirements. It is a difficult license to obtain so we are very proud of Jeff. We look forward to watching him grow.”
Jeff was hired as an operator apprentice in August 2008. In September 2011, he was promoted to an operator.
