Help us congratulate Kolt Weatherley on his recent promotion to Journeyman Lineman!
Kolt was promoted after completing a four-year apprentice program through the Missouri Public Utility Alliance that required classroom, correspondence and hands-on training workshops with monthly and annual exams on electric curriculum including overhead and underground systems; pole climbing, installing and mounting; conductors, transformers and substations and equipment operation.
Kolt attended hands-on immersion skills training workshops and logged more than 7,200 hours of on-the-job training. He is now a certified United States Department of Labor Journeyman Lineman.
Electric Distribution System Senior Foreman Boog Rowlett said Kolt has proven himself to be a great asset to the company and the entire community.
“Kolt worked hard to complete this training, and it’s an achievement most don’t accomplish,” Rowlett said. “He is dependable, smart and hard-working. I look forward to seeing him provide leadership to the entire electric department.”
Kolt started at Conway Corp in 2015 as a groundman.
