Nothing captures the magic of Christmas quite like dazzling holiday lights. A few weeks ago, Conway Corp electric crews could be spotted downtown spreading holiday cheer by hanging giant snowflake decorations. These festive symbols now adorn poles along a two-mile stretch from Oak Street to Prairie Street, adding sparkle and charm to the heart of Conway.
Conway Corp has proudly partnered with the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Conway to install Christmas decorations for decades. This beloved tradition dates back to the 1960s when wreaths adorned the business district downtown. Over the years, it has become a hallmark of the holiday season for our community.
“The chamber of commerce purchased the current decorations for downtown in the mid-1990s,” shared Crystal Kemp, Conway Corp Chief Marketing Officer. “Linda Roster White, a local real estate agent, led a chamber committee that fundraised with the business community to sponsor the project and purchase the snowflakes. Conway Corp has been hanging them up ever since.”
The snowflake decorations, a product of community effort and tradition, have been brightening downtown Conway for nearly 30 years.
As the city gears up for another festive season, Conway Corp is honored to play a role in spreading holiday joy and continuing this cherished tradition.
Make sure to take a stroll downtown to enjoy the glowing snowflakes and soak in the holiday spirit—it’s a sight that truly lights up our community!
