Conway Corp Communications Coordinator Yaunica McDowell was recently recognized with the Rising Star Award from the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC).
She received the award during this year’s Independent Show in Orlando, Florida. This industry event that brings together professionals and leaders from independent broadband and cable providers across the country.
The Rising Star Award recognizes emerging leaders and influencers who are making an impact within their field. Recipients demonstrate qualities including innovation, leadership potential, dedication and a commitment to positively impacting their industry or community.

As communications coordinator, Yaunica helps develop and execute communication strategies that connect Conway Corp with customers, employees and the community. Her work includes creating content across multiple platforms, sharing the stories of Conway Corp employees and services and supporting initiatives that educate and engage customers.
She joined Conway Corp in August 2023. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in public relations from the University of Central Arkansas and recently earned a Master of Science in Strategic Communications from Arkansas State University in December 2025
