Conway Corp Senior Plant Maintenance Worker Rickey Frazier retired in December 2025, closing a 30-year career focused on keeping Conway’s wastewater operations running safely, efficiently and reliably.
Rickey began his career with Conway Corp in September 1995 as an operator at the wastewater treatment plant. From the start, he earned a reputation for his strong work ethic, steady approach and willingness to take on any challenge. His reliability and technical skill quickly made him a valued member of the wastewater team responsible for operating the system around the clock.
In 2018, he was promoted to senior plant maintenance worker. He continued to play a critical part in maintaining and repairing equipment essential to the city’s wastewater infrastructure. Whether responding to emergencies, performing routine maintenance or assisting coworkers, Frazier’s presence helped ensure systems remained dependable and safe.
“Rickey has been an outstanding part of our wastewater team,” Conway Corp Wastewater Plant Superintendent Kody Miller said. “He takes pride in his work and always brings a positive attitude to every task. His dedication over the years has helped ensure our systems run efficiently and safely, and he’s set a great example for others to follow. We’re going to miss having him here every day.”
As Rickey reflects on his career, it’s the people he says he will miss most.
“Definitely the people. We’ve got a great group down here, and I’ve made a lot of good friends over the years,” Rickey said.
Looking ahead to retirement, he plans to slow down and enjoy more time outdoors — especially on the water.
“I’m looking forward to fishing and just taking it easy,” Rickey said.
When asked what advice he would offer to new employees starting their careers, he kept it simple and direct.
“Get on the job and learn it,” he said.
Congratulations, Rickey!
