Conway Corp has announced the promotion of Ivan Robinson and Wesley Fason to Apprentice Lineman 2 in the electric department.
The pair are enrolled in a four-year apprentice program to become journeymen linemen through the Missouri Public Utility Alliance. The program requires classroom, correspondence and hands-on training with monthly and annual exams on electric curriculum. They must attend hands-on immersion skills training workshops including pole climbing, pole top rescue and bucket truck training at the National Utility Industry Training Fund facilities in Kansas City.
Electric Distribution System Senior Foreman Mark Rowlett described Ivan as hardworking and very smart.
“We’re proud of all his hard work and accomplishments,” Mark said. “He is skilled, and we look forward to seeing where he goes.”
Electric Distribution System Senior Foreman Scott Ussery described Wesleyas trustworthy and reliable.
“Wesley is dependable, and you can always count on him to work,” Scott said. “He is on his way to being a great lineman.”
Ivan and Wesley began their careers at Conway Corp as groundmen. Wesley started March 2020. Ivan started June 2020.
