Today is American Public Power Association Day of Giving.
Public power is defined by our commitment to community service.
Each year, APPA kicks off the national conference by celebrating this commitment with the Public Power Day of Giving, where conference participants can donate a day to volunteer with local service organizations in our host community.
In honor of our dedication to serving our community, Conway Corp employees gave their time to assemble more than 500 items to help restock the Storehouse food pantry at the local Conway Ministry Center, which serves families and individuals in crisis.
According to the Ministry Center, 1 in 6 people face food insecurity, which is defined as the “condition of not having access to sufficient food, or food of an adequate quality, to meet one’s basic needs.”
