Conway Corp recently recognized Brick Cullum with a grant for being named the 2026 Conway Public Schools Teacher of the Year.
Brick is a social studies educator at Conway High School and serves as the school’s Beta Club sponsor. A Conway native and proud product of Arkansas public schools, he has dedicated his career to helping students grow both inside and outside the classroom.
In addition to teaching, he works to develop leadership and a commitment to service among his students through Beta Club. Under his leadership, students have participated in numerous community service projects, including the Great Gobble Giveback, which provided more than 250 meals to community members during Thanksgiving break.
Brick was presented with an award and a $2,000 check from Conway Corp at the CPS Back-to-School Convocation on August 12.
Earlier this year, he was named Conway High School Teacher of the Year and Conway Public Schools District Teacher of the Year. He was also selected as one of 15 finalists for the 2027 Arkansas Teacher of the Year. His previous honors include being named the 2022 Arkansas History Teacher of the Year and the University of Central Arkansas History Department’s 2025 Outstanding Alum.
In 2013, Conway Corp pledged a $440,000 gift over four years to endow the Teacher of the Year award and support Teacher Impact Grants presented by the Conway Public Schools Foundation.

Conway Corp was established in 1929 as the community faced the threat of losing Hendrix College and Central Baptist College. At that time, Conway Corp was given the lease on Conway’s electric system. Bonds totaling $215,000 were issued and given to each of Conway’s three colleges, along with the public and parochial schools.
Nearly a century later, Conway Corp continues to invest in local education from preschool to grad school by supporting area students, teachers, schools and scholarships.
