Conway Corp recently won the Large Employer Campaign of the Year award by United Way of Central Arkansas at their Community Awards Luncheon!
Conway Corp Telecommunication Systems Manager Tommy Nolen called the award an honor.
“It has been an honor to serve as the Conway Corp campaign coordinator for the past 12 years,” Nolen said. “The United Way has such a positive impact in our community, I couldn’t imagine what our community would look like without their presence.”
Conway Corp employees donated approximately $30,000 last year and corporate donations have contributed more than $738,000 in total to United Way since the program began.
“I am proud to work with such giving colleagues who love the community and are willing to invest in it selflessly. The missionary Amy Carmichael once said: ‘You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving.’ I am happy to give.”
This is Nolen’s last year coordinating campaigns for United Way donor relations. Power Supply/Major Accounts Analyst Natalie Arnold will coordinate future campaigns.
“I will miss getting to meet with each employee one on one as we conduct the campaign, but I know the incoming campaign coordinator will do an excellent job as she shares the same passion for the United Way as I do. Natalie will do great things with this campaign.”
The United Way of Central Arkansas’ mission is to impact our community members by fostering a greater quality of life through initiatives focused on education, health and financial stability.
