Conway Corp was recently recognized by the American Public Power Association (APPA) for its communications efforts, earning the Award of Excellence in all three categories of the APPA Excellence in Public Power Communications Awards.
An Award of Excellence was won in the Print and Digital Category for Conway Corp’s 2019 Annual Report. The report, titled “Always On – Just Like You” was designed to tell the story of the company’s commitment to serving Conway 24/7/365.
An Award of Excellence was won in the Video Category for the “Lineman vs. Lineman” video series that highlights the strengths and similarities of both electric and football linemen at Conway Corp and the University of Central Arkansas.
An Award of Excellence was won in the Web and Social Media Category for the ongoing social media video series “Plugged In.” The series releases a new episode weekly to educate customers about Conway Corp.
Conway Corp is one of only 42 public power electric utilities and utility organizations that earned Excellence in Public Power Communications Awards this year. The awards were presented during APPA’s virtual Customer Connections Conference in October and recognize utilities that demonstrate outstanding work in print, digital, web, social media and video communications.
“We have a great story to tell and this team works hard to clearly and creatively tell that story,” CEO Bret Carroll said. “This recognition shines a light on their work and the value it brings to Conway Corp and to public power.”
