In today’s fast-paced world, where staying connected is crucial, the reliability of our video, internet, voice and security services is more important than ever. Conway Corp understands this need and is committed to delivering reliable service. Because of this, an important decision was made to strengthen our connections by upgrading the cooling systems in our data center.
The data center is the heart of our telecommunications network. It houses the computers and equipment that keep our phone lines clear, our internet speeds fast, our cable channels streaming smoothly and our home security systems vigilant. But as technology advances, these systems generate more heat, making efficient cooling essential to their productivity and longevity.
To address this, Conway Corp has partnered with local contractors to replace the computer room air conditioning units that cool the data center. These state-of-the-art units are not only more powerful but also more energy-efficient, ensuring that the equipment stays at optimal temperatures without unnecessary power consumption. This upgrade means less wear and tear on the equipment, reducing the risk of outages and disruptions.
“The units that we had were 10 years old and weren’t adequately achieving what we wanted as far as redundancy, more stable and evenly distributed cooling throughout each of the enclosures, Conway Corp SCADA/Network Systems Administrator Zach Leach said. “Last year we spent time evaluating options and after an engineering firm study, we saw that it was more efficient to replace what we had with newer units. These updates will result in more reliable, efficient cooling for the equipment in the data center, as well as more granular temperature monitoring, better airflow balancing and enhanced redundancy. We are also looking forward to parts for the new system being more readily available.”
For customers, this investment translates into more reliable service. Whether streaming movies, making calls, browsing the web or monitoring home security, we can be more confident that our connections will become increasingly more reliable in the future.
We know every second counts, so Conway Corp is taking a proactive approach to maintaining and improving our infrastructure. It is a reassuring reminder that we are dedicated to keeping us connected. This upgrade is just one of many ways we are working behind the scenes to ensure our daily lives run more smoothly.
