Conway Corp is proud to announce the election of Jon Ross Henderson to the Conway Corp Board of Directors.
Jon Ross brings more than two decades of financial expertise and community leadership to the board. He has been with First Security Bank since 2000, serving in a variety of roles and currently holds the position of senior vice president of commercial lending. His professional background in banking, paired with a long history of community service, positions him as a valuable voice for Conway Corp and the community it serves.
“Municipal ownership of utilities is important for several reasons, including lower costs for consumers, job creation and retention, and having leadership that is accountable to the community,” Jon Ross said. “Conway Corp’s longstanding support of education and economic development is a key reason Conway is such a special place. That relationship between the City of Conway and Conway Corp must be maintained to ensure our region continues to grow and succeed.”
Jon Ross has spent nearly 15 years in Conway and has been actively involved in numerous organizations, including the UCA Foundation Board (Chair, 2016), Deliver Hope Board of Directors, Conway Christian School Board of Trustees and Arkansas Game & Fish Foundation Board. He is a graduate of both the Faulkner County Leadership Institute and Leadership Arkansas and has served as Chair of United Way of Central Arkansas’ Community Impact Committee.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors – hunting, fishing, hiking and cycling – and cherishes time with his wife, son and family dog.
“We are excited to welcome Jon Ross to the board,” Conway Corp CEO Bret Carroll said. “His deep ties to the community, strong leadership background and financial acumen make him a tremendous asset to our organization and our customers.”
The board elects one director annually to serve a seven-year term and must be approved by the Conway City Council. Other board members are Scotty Bell, Kelley Erstine, Osmar Garcia, Jake Nabholz, Denise Perry, Dr. Kateryna Pitchford and John Scherrey.
